My name is Adrien Bouguen. I am an assistant professor at the University of Santa Clara. Welcome to my website!
I am a principal investigator in the field of economics of education, development economics, and health economics. My research spans both low-income countries (Cambodia, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Togo…) and high-income settings (France), with a central focus on understanding how human capital accumulates over the life course and identifying the policies and interventions that can effectively stimulate this process.
I currently leads multiple social experiments globally and collaborates with leading research institutions, including IPA, J-PAL, the World Bank, and CEGA. I earned my PhD from the Paris School of Economics and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at UC Berkeley.
I am also an invited research at J-PAL and a CEGA affiliate.
At the Santa Clara University, I teach Economics of Education (ECON 151) and Data Analysis and Econometrics (ECON 41 & 42) .
